RE: XML HIPAA

Hi,
SpecBuilder provides users the ability to author, edit and publish
implementation guidelines for EDI, RosettaNet, Positional Files etc. in both
human readable format (RTF, HTML).
Additionally, SpecBuilder also provides the ability to export any EDI
guideline to XSD format, including all HIPAA guidelines. You will find the
XSD has been well thought out and designed to provide the richest level of
information allowed to be contained in XSD by W3C.
Edifecs also provides a run-time component which can convert EDI data to XML
data corresponding with the XSD exported from SpecBuilder and vice versa.
During conversion user also has the option to validate the incoming EDI data
or the outgoing XML data and generate acknowledgements.
Also, the format of XSD and XML data are open for all to use and are already
supported by major integration software providers.
Please contact me offline, if you are interested in getting sample XSD
documents for HIPAA guidelines or evaluating our solutions.
Thanks,
Grey Warnock

Subject: [EDI-L] XML HIPAA
I'm looking for an XML DTD or Schema for the HIPAA standard transactions. I
realize these are X12 and NCPDP based, but I'm looking for a decent internal
XML representation of these transactions - hopefully something that is open,
non-proprietary and has a shot at gaining some industry acceptance after the
HIPAA standards move on past the current phase.
So far the only ones I've seen alluded to were the Biztalk schema and
apparently MS has bundled these with their HIPAA accelerator. From what I
can tell, they are proprietary and not to be used without the Biztalk
products.
Thanks for any help.
