RE: Team Player or Not?

I am part of a team of 2 and we still have cell phones and laptops, my
partner is on vacation right now and I have called her because of issues
that have to do with her accounts and only she knows the answer, but she is
still out on vacation. So the point is that you may not be able to get out
of the phone call, but someone else can take care of things without having
to be there.
It is essential that your team is composed of smart people who can
think, you can train someone with a little common sense on EDI and they will
get it, but when you have people that you train and train, and train, but
never seem to get it, you are better off alone..

Being sole EDI person means dragging a laptop and cell phone with you
everywhere (vacation, conference, sick) and being on call 24x7. On the
other hand, if you're on a team with inexperienced EDI folk, you end up
spending lots of time training and troubleshooting AND being on call for
life. Being on a good EDI team is great, but something of an unexpected
luxury these days.

My little Survey;
I was wondering if people here prefer to be part of an
EDI Team, or be the soul EDI person on there job.
