Marketing Officer, General Counsel, and Vice President of Americas Sales
to Execute Against Targeted Industry Solution Strategy
Mercator(R) Software, Inc. (Nasdaq: MCTR

the appointment of three senior executives to fill top positions at the
company. Michael J. Collins has been appointed Senior Vice President and
Chief Marketing Officer; David L. Goret has been named Senior Vice
President and General Counsel; and Frank J. Sacco has been named Vice
President of Sales for the Americas.

In his role as Chief Marketing Officer, Michael Collins is responsible
for spearheading global marketing initiatives, including product
marketing, corporate branding and positioning, marketing communications,
corporate communications, channel marketing, and market strategy. He
reports directly to Mercator Chairman and CEO Roy C. King. Mr. Collins
joins Mercator from Xchange, Inc. where as Chief Marketing Officer he
was responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all global
marketing activities. Mr. Collins also directed the launch of enterprise
application integration (EAI) products at SAGA Software, Inc., as Vice
President of Worldwide Corporate Marketing. Before that, he was Senior
Director of Worldwide Corporate Marketing at Iomega Corporation.
As General Counsel, David Goret is responsible for advising Mercator on
all legal matters, including legal issues related to the company's
publicly held status. He reports to Mercator Executive Vice President
and Chief Financial Officer Kenneth J. Hall. Mr. Goret has extensive
experience in the EAI space, having been the lead negotiator on
multimillion-dollar strategic licensing, reseller, and marketing
agreements with Siebel Systems, Oracle, Microsoft, and HP while serving
as Vice President of Internet and Multimedia Law at Qwest
Communications. Prior to Qwest, he was Vice President of Business
Affairs and General Counsel at Icon CMT Corp., a public company that
merged with Qwest in 1998. He joins Mercator from Hawk Holdings, LLC,
where he served as Executive Vice President of Administration and
General Counsel.
As Vice President of Sales for Mercator Americas, Frank Sacco leads
Mercator Americas' sales initiatives to grow profitable revenue through
Mercator's core integration technology and industry integration
solutions. Reporting directly to Mercator President of Field Operations
Mark Register, Mr. Sacco has direct responsibility for Mercator's sales
force in the Americas and will work with Mercator's systems integrator
and technology partners to increase the company's value proposition to
customers as well as increase revenue. Mr. Sacco has an impressive track
record of success in enterprise technology sales at a number of
high-achieving companies including AOL and iPlanet, where he designed
the eCommerce Applications sales strategy and led the sales and channel
sales teams, helping them to meet and surpass their goals.
