RE: Team Player or Not?

Oh, I forgot to mention, this arrangement also means that the two
primary EDI people can both even be out of the office at the same time!!

I definitely agree that team is better. As team leader I still have to
carry my 800 pager everywhere, but it doesn't haunt me as much as when I
have been sole support in the past. The team is two people that are
pretty much completely EDI, and two others that help with development as
needed and are cross-trained in support, but also have responsibility
for other interfaces into our ERP (perhaps approaching 40% of time on
EDI).

yeah, and when the EDI-world comes down on you there is no one to help
you up..
when it comes to EDI you need a team, how big depends on the size of the
company, if you are solo, it also means that you cannot take vacation.
It never fails when the EDI person goes on vacation, that big WALMART
(or be JcPenny/Eckerds, Walgreen's, etc..) order crashes, and nobody
knows why, but you...
I vote for team..

When you're the sole developer you have the luxury of never being
wrong....

My little Survey;
I was wondering if people here prefer to be part of an
EDI Team, or be the soul EDI person on there job.
