I think XML is just quite a nice format for many companies
to deal with - I have come to see this type of question on the
same level of asking whether or not a product support's Java,
Active X, converts to flat file etc.

Companies and developers are basically looking for tools to
take a format that they may not be comfortable with - i.e. traditional
EDI and put into an environment that they are comfortable.

So just like there are VB shops, Java shops, Unix shops etc. there
are an emerging number of development teams which like to pick
XML as their chosen environment thanks to the many tools available
to process that format.

We've been seeing a lot of demand from clients ourselves in that
area.

The interesting thing is that EDI is not being replaced by XML - XML
just happens to be format that people like to map to more often for
internal proprietary implementations.
