Re: Fixed-length file analyzer

Hello David,
I am trying to find a utility which perhaps could be applied to either:
post-translated non-X-12 flat files
source application files
For example, I have translated from a source application data set to a our
customer's application format. It would be very helpful to analyze a
post-translated non-X-12 data set in a manner like X-12 or EDIFACT. Make
sense?
Also, I could save a step in certfication by first QA'ing the source
application file before translating.
In a perfect EDI, or edi world, applications contain user screen edits to
ensure the population of application data set fields. Yet, this is not the
reality.
