This is exactly what the DEBX network does on behalf of all the Federal
entities behind its front end. Our VAN software does the same thing as
well, if you want it to - or it pretends to be doing it as if it were
the Trading Partner. If it is acting as itself, then it reflects
ISA.05/06 back as ISA.07/08 and inserts its own id as the 997's ISA.05/06
an similarly GS.02/03, but when masquerading, it simply does a straight
relfection of the values in the ISA and GS as if it were the TP.
Can't you get them to switch the translator into 'masquerade' mode so
that when it generates the 997 it pretends to be your TP and returns
the values you are expecting ? Otherwise, you'll have to find some way
of accepting the ISA/GS of the 997 and doing your reconciliation from
the AK1/AK2 as usual.
