Edifecs' SpecBuilder is a standards agnostic tool for specification
development and more - it supports authoring of EDI (including HIPAA), flat
files (including SAP IDOCs) and XML within the same integrated user
interface and tool set. SpecBuilder supports flat file formats - both
positional and delimited flat file structures. Users can author and create
business document specifications for such formats. Additionally users can
publish the guidelines or specifications in RTF and HTML formats for viewing
and distribution to their partners. The Migrator module within SpecBuilder
allows users to compare 2 flat file guidelines of the same type.

Can anyone recommend a tool like EDIFECS or EDISIM analyzer tools, but for
fixed-length flat (non-X-12 and non-EDIFACT) files?
