Hello,

I think what Stas needs is an EDI translator, which has excellent mapping
capability to take care of the complexity of 811 (HL loops) and output the
data in a manner that is easily understood (processed) by Stas'es business
application.

Thanks,

David,
The first thing we are trying to do is to parse 811 bill from
Verizon. We need to get some basic information about phone lines,
like rental charge, usage, other charges for each particular line on
the bill and move that info into the database. So, the task is very
straight forward, but the 'flexibility' of 811 makes it a lot of work
and adds complexity to it. I have the specs and segment IDs reference
but to write something that would parse the 811 edi file would mean
implementing all the rules and following all the standarts - which is
huge amount of work. So, I'm looking for something that would help me
simplify my task. Any help, any related producs (especially the once
that provide libraries (DLLs, APIs, OCX...) would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
Stas
