On several occasions I have responded privately to the poster of a question.
In virtually all those cases I never received an acknowledgemnet, a thanks
for your input, I'll keep it under consideration, etc.

Has the advent of EDI caused common manners to be thrown out the door?

I wonder if anyone else has noticed the same trend
