Hi there all,

I will not comment on the technical skills of our U.S. Help Desk, but in
Australia, I have been working on the GE Help Desk for 13 years (Yes, I'm a
Freak) and therefore I have faced similar technical challenges and devised
work-arounds to keep customers running. I do share these with the U.S., but
the amount of information one must learn to be skilled on a help desk would
exceed 4 years of solid training. Most help desk people only last about 1-3
years and therefore do not get the levels of knowledge they need to perform
the role well.

I empathise with people whom receive poor support, there is nothing more
frustrating.

Anyway, for those that might need a HPN access number for GE's service,
please visit:

bar)

Best Regards,

Michael Burbury
