Edifecs has launched a online site called HIPAADesk (www.HIPAADesk.com).
This site provide free testing services for HIPAA. At HIPAADesk a user can
request an online account and submit their HIPAA data files (through a
internet browser) to test & validate against the implementation guidelines.

The HIPAA data files are validated against the HIPAA rules, hundreds of
HIPAA edits and HIPAA codes sets for error types 1-6 (as recommended by
WEDI/SNIP). You can check for error types 7 and custom edits but that is
not part of the free service.

You can contact me at if you desire additional
information.

I am the EDI admin for a number of small hospitals. We have been working
with various insurance companies to test our 837/835 processing, but the
time it requires is weeks per document and we are running out of time.
Who might recommend a professional testing facility we can work with and
finish this?
