Hi there all,

Tradanet is the European version of EDI*EXPRESS. The difference is that it
runs on Unix rather than on Honeywell or IBM mainframes. The other
difference is the administration of the system is all done by the European
Operations group rather than the customer (to some degree).

As Tradanet is an interconnect to EDI*EXPRESS, your Trading Partnership
Request that you did on EDI*EXPRESS would have been automatically approved.
However, the Tradanet setup does not sound like it's been done.

To move forward from here you should contact your local GXS representative.
You should tell the GXS representative that you wish to Interconnect with
the European Tradanet service. The representative will ask you the EDI
Addresses of your Tradanet partners (these were what you used in your
trading partnership requests). Once you provide this to your
representative, that person will relay the information to our European
Operations whom will do the administration.

As I don't know where you are, I will point you to our main GXS web site at:

http://www.gxs.com

From there, click on the Customer Center and you will be away and talking to
your rep in no time (I think it even supports VoIP now [Voice over IP],
sorry, I'm not sure??)

Once you get your information to your GXS Rep, the admin can generally be
done overnight (as that is the day time in Europe - specifically Amsterdam
which is where they are located).

BTW> EDI*EXPRESS has a report called a Third Party Reject Report. You
should run this report to see if data you have sent to Tradanet has been
rejected or not. This report is designed for tracking data to
Interconnects.

Cheers...

Hi Micheal, thanks for the inputs. Now we are having a
twist to the issue.
Two of our partners in Europe are using TRADACOMS and
with our reent migration to GEIS VAN, we are not able
to receive data from them at all.
1) Is it a must that all the TRADACOMS partners in
Europe have to come via TRADANET.
2)Who controls this TRADANET and what is the
relationship between it and GEIS.
3)I have set up the partnership in GEIS(in USA) and
the partners in Europe doesn't know the concept of
approving the partnerships. Does TRADANET approves
these partnerships?
If you can throw some light on this it would be great.
We are having a conference call tonight to resolve
this issue.
Appreciate your help.
Regards
Uppaji.
