ECMap & ECGateway questions
I have a couple of questions about using ECMap and ECGateway. Please
help with any that you can.
#1. I have a multi-partner outbound map that I have had in production
for some months now. I have a new trading partner that requires me
to activate an additional segment to the X12 transaction. However,
when I try to do this (using "create transaction"/"make
transaction") -it throws away all my previous mappings and level
assignments! Is there a way to activate a segment without having
to "create transaction"?
#2. In this case I have multiple 855 maps (one for each TP). I have
a process in ECGateway to invoke an outbound map. The sequential
file is called "[ordernumber].PR". The RunMapOut command requires
that I specify a certain map to use, but I cannot determine the map
to invoke based on the sequential-filename. Is there another command
to use? Is there a way to _look into_ the sequential file to
determine which partners map to invoke (similar to the way it works
inbound)?
