RE: Credit Card billing info on 850

If you're sending this to one of the payment
processing clearinghouses (like FDMS, etc) they'll
have implementation guides to tell you how to format
it. As David pointed out there may be additional
requirements such as a zip code match with the card
number or an entire Bill to address. Even if you are
sending this to a third party, they may need to pass
it along.
I agree with the encryption point. Visa, MC, AMEX,
all have specific requirements as to how the CC#'s can
be transmitted (and even stored on your internal
systems). It's very rare, but they can yank your POS
privelages if you are found deficient. You also don't
want to be the next firm in USAToday profiled because
some Russian hackers stole 100,000 CC#'s from you.
