If you go to Monster.com and do a job search for 'VMI' there are a
number of job descriptions that come up including this one for Sara Lee.

Sara Lee Foods is ready to engage in adding a Vendor Managed Inventory
system for their U.S. based customers and need a high caliber individual
to manage the process.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Direct management responsibility for the review, recommendation, and
purchase of VMI software.
-Responsible for implementation of VMI, including technical connection
with Sara Lee systems, developing training material and actual training
of CSAMs.
-Responsible for developing relationships with VMI partners and trouble
shooting start up technical issues.
-Review, recommend, and purchase of VMI software
-Develop VMI training materials
-Classroom training of VMI CSAMSs
-Manage Supply Chain activities related to VMI customers within their
scope of responsibility.
-Insure an effective alignment of transactions exists between VMI
customers and Sara Lee Foods.
-Insure VMI team adherence to all Sara Lee Food's policies and
procedures.
-Understand and have a working knowledge of all VMI systems the team has
responsibility for using.
-Lead in recruitment and hiring of new VMI personnel.
-Insure VMI goals support the overall goals and objectives of the
Business Units within Sara Lee Foods.
A college degree is required, as well as 5+ years Customer Service
Experience. Extensive VMI experience required, including implementation.
Prior Managerial experience is preferred.

Hi Everybody,
Not quite an EDI related topic but does anyone have or know of where I
could get a job description for a VMI position. It would be for the
person
who would be working with the customer on setting up the program,
managing
the orders, etc. We have a pretty good idea but want to make sure
we're
not forgetting any details/tasks.
