If I may give you my $.02, take a closer look at Mercator! I have mapped
several 811 transactions as well as app to app transactions and, Mercators
use of type trees makes it very easy to accomplish your goals. Also, there
customer support, in my past experience, is top notch as well!

I am using Peregrine's TLE(4.2 and EV5)now which is a good tool as well but
the mapping, in my opinion, is not as flexible as Mercator.

I can not speak on Gentran due to the fact that I have only used it in an
MVS environment...I did not like it at all!!!

Hi folks,

I'm at the beginning of converting a legacy EDI over to a JDE/(insert
NT package here).

The 3 on NT I am considering:

Gentran
Peregrine
Mercator

I am looking for a perfect fit with Gentran in the lead. We do a lot
of 811, 272, and proprietary documents. Gentran's ability to do
application to application mapping would come in handy here.

Anyone have any other ideas?
