I think your conclusion is a bit of a stretch (recruiters are tied in with
software
piracy)...
Recruiters list their openings and look for matches on resumes based on key
words -
many of which they know little about.
Yes, most recruiters don't know a bit from a byte. However, they generally
communicate more effectively and can negotiate better than those they place. In
other
words they have little disdain for others because they aren't smart enough to
sense or
form a conclusion as to why they should or shouldn't have the disdain for
someone else
in the first place. I think as developers we all know that we are smarter than
them,
but does that really mean anything that they couldn't be found nearer than 50
feet
from the science fair in high school. Everyone has a need on the list - even
the end
user and/or recruiter. <g>
All job postings require <JOBS> as a subject prefix.
