Hi all! I have been asked to implement the 867 for sales tracings as
well as the 856 advance ship notice. Does anyone have a business model
that they would be willing to share with me? I am also curious about
the 844 and how it compares to the 867. Any experience shared on any of
the above would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Matthew:

We use the 867 extensively for sales tracings. We manufacture health
care
products, market to health care companies through distributors who
report
their sales to our end users.

In a former life, we collected similar information via 867 for some of
our
customers in the processed food industry.

For both firms, the 852 is used for input to a Vendor Managed Inventory
Replenishment system.

Has anyone seen the 867 used outside the HIBCC/HIDA standards for
product
transfer/resale reports?

Specifically retail activity reporting, or is the trend to use the 852?

Matthew
