RE: Question regarding Inovis Forms updates...

Gary:
I found it easier to build your own map rather then go through them.
If you would be the 1st customer requesting the map from them initially
then:
1) it will take anywhere between 4 and 8 weeks for them to complete it
2) it is likely to be delivered with errors, which it would take them some
time to fix as well :-)
3) well... Sometimes trading partner can't just wait for such a long time
:-)
While I prefer using "ready" forms if they are available, I'd still rather
build my own maps for "new" customers.
Hope it makes sense :-)

Subject: [EDI-L] Question regarding Inovis Forms updates...
I was wondering if anyone had experience with how long it usually take
Inovis to update an overlay after a request has been made ? I talked to
customer service on Wednesday, they said that it would take 2 days after
they received the updated spec. That seemed very fast to me, but in this
case it is a small change and I thought that it was great. I submitted the
documents this morning and got a emailed reply that it would take 5
weeks. Not the end of the world, but I was suprised at the difference in
dates.
Thanks....Gary
