Jaime,
Most translators will allow for the 'bending' of standard X12
transaction rules. Did your trading partner surprise you with this new
segment in an EDI transaction or did they share the information with you
in an implementation guide?

Subject: [EDI-L] <TECH> NM1 Segment in 820

Hello,

I was curious to find out when the 820 transaction began to include an
NM1
segment in the ENT loop.

I receive 820s in V3050 and V4010. I notice that V4010 includes this
segment but V3050 does not (at least according to my standards viewer).
Somehow one of my TPs managed to squeeze an NM1 segment in the ENT loop
of
a V3050 820. It is strange that a translator would allow that.

Could anyone provide some help with this?

Thanks.
