Re: translators

We have one proprietary document that we run through Gentran. Based on
that (limited) experience and what I know of Mercator, I'd look more at
Mercator. At my last job it was used extensively for app to app (non-EDI)
interfaces and got good marks. The only reason that it wasn't chosen as an
EDI translator is Mercator's pricing, which was very steep for a company
that already had their product in-house.

I know first-hand that Peregrine also does application-to-application
mapping. I also hear that a2a is one of Mercator's great strengths.
Can't offer you much more advice without knowing what other factors
are important to you. Care to offer us anything else?
