Thanks to all who have responded in regards to their use of the 867.

I've noted three distinct trends:

- Gas industry pipeline reporting
- Sales Reporting (similar to the 852) and in the health care industry, for
specific end-user reporting
- Instigation for rebate claims

I'm interested in people's experience with the 3rd.

Has anyone been on the receiving end the third type of 867 and used the
information to 'consume' consigned inventory and possibly even create an
invoice with dollar amounts matching the 'net-net' pricing indicated on the
rebate claim? (Thereby eliminating all of the reconciliation work usually
associated with rebates, as long as the trust is there?)

Matthew

Hi,

We use the 867 & 852 for reporting of channel software sales, which in
turn is used for incentive/rebate programs.

Has anyone seen the 867 used outside the HIBCC/HIDA standards for product
transfer/resale reports?

Specifically retail activity reporting, or is the trend to use the 852?

Matthew
