RE: HIPAA Security & Privacy testing

Karen,
If you read the proposed HIPAA security regulations there are some
comments in there about having your network certified but does not
elaborate what this means. Most people interpret this to mean a 3rd
party network consulting company reviewing your network configuration
and policies & procedures. The final privacy regulations do require
some type of training on HIPAA privacy issues and some training
organizations say they will 'certify' but there is no official
certification organization.

Subject: [EDI-L] HIPAA Security & Privacy testing
This is a little off the EDI subject, but does anyone know if there
are any testing and/or certification processes for HIPAA Security and
Privacy rules (not the HIPAA EDI transactions)?
Thanks in advance for any help.....
Karen
