RE: HIPAA Security & Privacy testing
Mark, I'm curious what you mean by "work closely with URAC." There are many
of us actively involved in HIPAA that are members of the URAC Security
Health Care Accreditation and Certification Workgroup. I didn't see either
you or HCCO list in the
Committee Listing (as of 23 December 2002) at URAC's web site?

I see that you joined the HCCO listserve and wanted to let you know we will
be issuing our Privacy conformance certification for products in a few weeks
and Security will follow when final. We also work closely with URAC who is
developing programs due in the April timeframe. If you have any specifics

This is a little off the EDI subject, but does anyone know if there
are any testing and/or certification processes for HIPAA Security and
Privacy rules (not the HIPAA EDI transactions)?
