Maybe this.
1) Store DTM and SHP values in variables
2) Set a "first time" flag
3) Generate the 350 record using the stored values when you get a LIN,
except the "first time"
4) Generate the last 350 record at end-of-transaction, before the CTT.

I am trying to map an 862 inbound document. Our TP sends the detail
information as many as three ways. This creates a problem when trying to
map to my flat file. Here are the three ways the data comes in:

LIN LIN LIN
UIT UIT UIT
REF REF REF
FST FST FST
DTM DTM
SHP
CTT CTT CTT

I am putting the LIN, the REF, and the UIT, in Record 200.

I need to then put the FST, and DTM in Record 300, and finally the SHP in
record 350.

At this point, I do not know how to do this. I have tried every possible
combination of using the "Look Ahead" command. The problem is, I can not
turn it off with a one size fit all. If I turn it off with the "CTT" it
only works for the first scenario, since the last scenario has data beyond
that. If I use the "SHP" to turn it off, the map only works for the last
scenario, because the SHP doesn't exist for the first or second scenario.

If I try to write out the record from the DTM it doesn't work for the first
scenario since it doesn't have a DTM. If I try to write out the record at
the beginning of the 350 record, it doesn't work for the first two scenarios
because they don't have an SHP, so the translator never makes it that far
down.

I have tried to turn off the look ahead with the FST, but it doesn't work,
because it is looking for an FST prior to encountering an LIN.

How can I have a one size fits all map?

Thanks in advance for the assistance to all who might write back.

Jasper
