EDI is SOOOOO much more than just IT, let alone only programming.

I have no doubt the you will get feedback on this list. Good luck and
depending on your timelines for implementing, probably yesterday, I agree
with the "out source"/Service Burea/Service Provider recommendation.

If time and money are no issues, then give it a whirl "in-house". You will
undoubtedly experience the "learning opportunity" of a life-time.... ;-~

Hello,
We are a small/mid sized bakery in Mass.

Foodlion & Walmart want us to submit invoices va EDI.

We've 140-150 invoices per week to send. The invoices have an
average 15 detail items and total around $90.

I'm a computer programer, and have used a 4-gl called Pro4 for the
last 12 years .

My understanding is I need to export a flat file , import it to a
translator and send the file to our TP. Both TP's use AS2.

** Could I get some recomendations for a simple / not very expensive
translator
and howto send the edi file to our tp's? **

I use linux servers and linux n desktop. If I need to i can setup a
windows pc or run windows or dos under linux.

Thanks in advance
