RE: Re: <MISC> Heard on the street

I think the average duration/longevity of a CEO is something like 36 months,
depending on the specific industry mind you, even during "good" economic
times. I bet this would be even shorter if you limited the criteria to only
merged companies.
After you cut all your cost related to "office supplies", the biggest bang
for the buck in terms of trying to give shareholders/investors/analysts the
impression that the company is "making improvements" is to replace the CEO.
A whole world of options(scapegoats) exist for a company with a "new" CEO.
The real test is whether or not the "new" CEO is really "new" or not... :-)
One also needs to keep in mind that the word "new" or "change" does not
always imply "better". Most companies bank on the fact that people
subliminally replace the word "new" or "change" with the word "better" or
"improved".
Remember, when it comes to the worlds of CEOs, "It's not personal, it's just
business."

Subject: [EDI-L] Re: <MISC> Heard on the street
Julie,
if you have long-term friends at Inovis, this explains why you
experienced a great customer support.
I haven't worked with Inovis products over the last years so I'm not
able to tell anything about the quality, but if there 's a lot of
rumour everywhere about Inovis-replacements, there must be something
behind it.
Also, if everything would be good there, why would you replace your
CEO ?
And if you search on the Onovis WebPage, there aren't any
announcements about new major customers.
Right now Inovis can still live of their current base, but the future
will show how long this will be possible
Greetings
