Technical Support Specialist

Edifecs, the leader in providing community enablement technologies,
is looking for a technical support specialist with a good background
in EDI or integration solutions.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

· Act as an initial contact point for technical support
requests.
· Answers the Customer Support Lines (Early Morning Shift
around 5-6 am to 2-3 pm).
· Act as a liaison between developers and customers.
· Gather sufficient information about the problem to allow a
solution to be found.
· Additional minor duties may be assigned as necessary.
· Provide various levels of support depending on background and
experience of support personnel.
· Refer customers to suitable documentation.
· Refer to internal documents and tech support histories to
answer general questions.
· Investigate problem and try to reproduce/solve it.

Essential Skills:
· 2 or more years of experience in IT Industry Customer
support, preferably in the EDI Industry.
· Strong working knowledge of – Windows
95/98/NT/2000, PC Hardware/Software and peripherals.
· Customer driven attitude.
· Excellent communication, problem solving, people skills.
