<TECH>,GENTRAN 6.0 UNIX Problem
My situation is this:
Environment: AIX release 4.3
Migration from GENTRAN 5.2-1 to GENTRAN 6.0
In my DEV and TST environments, GENTRAN is working, and working properly.
In PRD, the translation is okay, 997s are generated, documents are loaded
correctly into my SAP system. Archiving is not working correctly. OUTBOUND
documents are being truncated. The GE and IEA segments are being dropped
when the doc is moved the 'edihist' directory. The
data_manager_run_dir/temp/wrktmp has numerous *.sfx files that seem to be
used as 'tags' for archiving.
In TST, the server part of the product allows me to view archived both
INBOUND and OUTBOUND documents, but PRD only allows INBOUND review.
The scripts being used are the same. UNIX 'diff' shows that the scripts are
the same. All three environments were loaded the same way, and the
'allcnvrt' utility was run for all environments, with the 5.2-1 environment
'shutdown'.
Sterling has been working on this since 3/4, they have copies of data,
datamangers, scripts, etc.
Has anybody run into a situation like this, and if so, how was it resolved.
