RE: Hex '5F' in ISA11

Could your trading partner be expecting a ASCII x'5F' and you are
sending EBCIDIC x'5F or visa versa?

Subject: [EDI-L] Hex '5F' in ISA11
Hi all,
One of my trading partners is requesting I send a x'5F' in the ISA11
on a version 4030UCS X-12 document. Our translator handles that
easily, and I verified that the communications file I sent to GXS had
the hex characters in it, but the customer says this element is blank
when they receive it. Also, they are sending the hex character to us,
and it shows up as a blank here. I tried calling GXS on this and the
problem has been sent to level 2 tech support. Has anyone else had
this problem? If so, what did you do to resolve it?
Thanks in advance,
Charlie
