Richard is correct. They are very different. However, if you look
at it closely, the mapper in Unix is very similar to the mapper from
their windows product. The big difference in the two is the Unix
version utilizes Data Managers to move transactions thru the system.
There is nothing like this in the windows version. There is a lot
more setup involved with the unix version in terms of error handling.

I also think it would be a good idea to be familiar with shell
scripting for customized uses. As far as I know, Sterling is the
only company to provide training on this product.. Good luck.
