Hi, Cindy,

You know we use IDX2 and interconnect through Sterling. Our bills are
charged by kilocharacters. Specifically, take your entire message,
including enveloping, and divide the character count by 1000. Your IDX2
charge is then multiplied by
your traffic rate charge. There is 3 rates based on usage. 7 cents is for
1 character/month to 100,000 kilocharacters (KC), 6 cents from
100,000KC/month to 200,000KC/month, or 5 cents for over 200,000KC/month.
That is the entire bill.

Any more questions, ask me.

Hi All,

I've been asked the dreaded question of how much it costs to send and
receive a document from our customer. I have my month mailbox charges and
as usual am charged per character. How do I determine how many
characters is in a document? Is it every segment or element? That just
doesn't seem to make sense with the numbers I am seeing.

If anyone can give me a quick idea of how to determine this, I would be
very thankful. In particular, they are questioning invoices but I'm sure
the other documents are going to come up as well.

Thanks!!
