RE: <SALES>VAN interconnect fees

Andrew,
There should not be an interconnect fee regardless of the VAN or Trading
Partner.
VAN's traditionally do not charge each other because of the InterVAN
agreements.
Some VAN's however charge their customers connect fees along with peak and
off-peak charges, etc. which I feel is just a cash grab.
If you want any additional information feel free to call me at anytime.
We guarantee the best rates by at least 20%.

Subject: [EDI-L] VAN interconnect fees
On the subject of VAN charges, how do interconnect fees vary from VAN
to VAN. Do we have a chart comparing this?
Suppose a company were on GEIS and they moved over to Sterling. Would
their partners who were also on GEIS now have to pay interconnect
fees?
What is the trend here?
Across the VANs, are interconnect fees mostly:
a) non-existent
b) one time setup charge
c) monthly fixed rate
d) per transaction / volume
What are the expected interconnect fee ramifications to trading
partners if a firm moved from one major VAN to another?
Thanks,
Andrew
