RE: BSI in a Nutshell

It's like so many other good ideas...it will remain only a good idea until
it is implemented. There is organizational inertia. Factor in FUD
involving the Internet (which is not a necessary part of BSI but is the most
logical communications path). I am sure there are other factors but those
would be enough. I've always thought that I would never be able to convince
our management to look into it to replace our current EDI processes, because
we conform to our trading partners requirements. However, there are
business relationships we have that are not automated, in part because the
expense and trouble of a conventional EDI relationship isn't justified, and
these just might be candidates for BSI.
One side note: if your data files are XML, you don't need the separate
specification and data file, your data file is carrying it's specification
with it all the time.

You know, I read that page, and my impression is: if it's that simple,
where is it? Why isn't he making millions with it? Why haven't I been
replaced by it?
