William, How are you? Haven't seen you in a while!

Yes Edifecs SpecBuilder has the ability to export the HIPAA guidelines into
various machine readable formats. The formats that we support for both
import and export are:
- gXML
- XDATA - XML Schema
- Gentran Windows: DDF
- Gentran UNIX: IG
- Microsoft BizTalk XDR
- IBM/Crossworld WebSphere: BoDef (Business Object Definition)
Format
- Mendelson Transformation engine format
- TIE Mapping Manager format
- Many translators and messaging applications support the gXML
format, which was developed by Edifecs.

We also support import of DTDs, SAP Idoc etc, etc.

We don't sell individual HIPAA transactions in machine readable format, to
get this functionality one has to buy our SpecBuilder Enterprise or HIPAA
version software.

Thanks

Sandeep, that sounds great. But Troy probably already has human-readable
versions of the HIPAA IGs, like the PDF files from Washington Publishing.
He probably needs some kind of machine readable version of the HIPAA IGs
that he can use from his program. Now, Washington Publishing has machine
readable table data available for sale at DISA, but is there any possibility
you at EDIFECS have gXML for the HIPAA IGs? - for at least the structure of
the transaction sets? That would save Troy - and anyone else writing his
own EDI parser - a ton of trouble!

Edifecs provides the HIPAA guidelines for free from our website
http://www.HIPAADesk.com Go to the 'Resources Tab' and click on the 'HIPAA

Here you will find:
- The V4010A1-Addenda files
- The V4010 files
- V4010A vs V4010 Comparison Reports
You can view the Guidelines on-line using your web browser, or download them
as SpecBuilder or PDF formatted files.

The free 'SpecBuilder Viewer'(Standard Version) is available from the
Edifecs website, http://www.edifecs.com/solutions_downloads.jsp select the
SpecBuilder Full install. SpecBuilder without a Reg Key can be used as a
