Subject: Perl module to parse X12 and process loops
I saw a mention of the module somewhere on the internet a
while back. It popped into the cpan.org archive sometime over
the past week.

http://search.cpan.org/author/PRASAD/X12-0.01/

After mucking with it for an hr, it looks okay for
parsing and processing X12. So far I have only tested
a single 837 edi data file, but I have NOT validated
the output or functionality of the module.

There is a 'Parser' module to handle EDI files and a 'Config'
module to handle config files(similar to 'map' files) which tell
the looping structure of the 'standard' in question.
Parser module is approx 460 lines of code.
Config module is approx 250 lines of code.

Any other Perl programmer may want to take a look at this module
before trying to do stuff themselves. You 'may' be able
to convert it to C/C++ using common code converter programs.
