I'm assuming you are sending 850 documents to your suppliers. If their
business system is written to take advantage of sending 810 (invoices)
documents via EDI, there should be no problem in your suppliers sending them
to you.

I work for a small to medium sized company that is looking to move to
electronic invoicing. We currently do electronic ordering and
receive paper invoices. If our larger suppliers can send X.12 810
transactions, would a translation package be the best option? We use
IBM RS6000/AIX servers, Windows 2000 servers, and Windows 2000
desktops.
