Hi,
One of my friends is looking for an "EDI Analyst" and needs to fill in the
position by 6th August '03. My personal feeling is that, the contract term could
extend longer based on the performance. If anybody from this group is

Requirement Details:
Position: EDI Analyst
Position Type: Contract
Term: 6 months+
Location: MI (Detroit or other company locations nearby)
Industry Type: Mechanical Parts manufacturers
Total EDI industry experience required: 5 + years
The candidate should have recently worked on the following :
1. EDI (ANSI X12, UN EDIFACT)
2. XML, XML Schema, DTD , XSL
3. Mercator*** product suite - Event Server, Type Tree Designer, Integration
Flow Designer etc.
4. Knowledge of Java related technologies to get a better handle to the
application usage of maps.
5. Some SQL knowledge (to search and verify map execution statistics)
Experience with VANs such as Sterling Commerce, IBM, GSX OR GEIS would be an
added advantage.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing GAP analysis for the sender and recipient format.
- Create maps to achieve the receiver's format (incorporate complex business
rules specific to each trading partner in the maps)
- Create maps to construct an intermediate XML format (2nd Stage)
- Create XSL stylesheets to perform further parsing as required.
