EDI has evolved into a customer driven process. Most vendors expect
customers to provide implementation guides and other specifications. They
are organized to work that way. The reason you want to do it is that you
get to create a single 810 definition and then you only need one map for all
your vendors. The only maintenance you need to do from then on is trading
partner set ups.

Hi, suppose I am the buyer who would like to do the 810 testing
(receiving) with my vendors, who should send spces to the other
party? buyer to vendor or vendor to buyer? I am thinking since the
data is coming to me, my vendors should send their specs to us, but I
keep getting requires asking me send 810 specs to my vendors. TIA.
