Jeffery,
Your actions somewhat depend on the capabilities of your trading
partners being able to accept the EDI transactions you mentioned. If I
were to guess they probably would not be able to accept them and if they
did they would do a rip and read. I would stick to the KISS theory and
use the technology sitting on the corner of your desk (telephone) to
handle 834 problems.

Hello, All!
I'm interested in what kind of "responses" have been used to notify
Trading Partners of problems with an 834 Enrollment and Maintenance
request (for business reasons as opposed to EDI errors). I have heard
of a few different approaches:
Send an "Error Report"
Send a "response" 834 to point out the "bad" records
Send an 824
Can anyone give me any feedback on what has "worked" best?
