Re: Need help with JCPENNEY TMS 753 document

Just to review.
As a supplier, you need to send a 753 document (routing request) to your
customer. I believe that JC Penney is the only retailer using this process.
The 753 document contains information relating to orders that your company
will be shipping. The 753 reports the original PO #, number of cartons, the
volume and weight.
TMS (Transport Management Software from Transplace ... I believe) will take
all the routing requests from all the orders that are to be shipped and
consolidate the information. From the consolidated information, they will
determine the distribution center (DC) and carrier for each order.
Then the retailer will send a 754 back to the supplier with the new DC and
carrier. UCC-128 labels and ASN's have to be updated to reflect the new
ship to and carrier information.
ComplyLink Retail (e-SupplyLink's UCC-128 / ASN solution) has these
transactions fully integrated into it's package (end of sales pitch).
Normally this functionality is integrated into your ASN / UCC-128
functionality.
jfktutors ... What UCC-128 / ASN package do you use?
