RE: EDI Disaster and Recovery

Sorry for the delay in my response. I was in San Diego chairing the X12
Transportation Subcommittee meetings.
You are correct, I did not mention the other VAN. I do not make statements on
behalf of my competition. They are very capable of speaking for themselves. I
was only making the statement that I was aware of only one other network that
currently has a second production site that I understand can be used in case of
a disaster.
As for if I should have included <SALES> in the subject line, I don't think so.
Based on your original message, where you stated that most VAN's have two
production sites that can handle disaster recovery, I simply responded that
Kleinschmidt does have that capability, and inquired as to the source for your
statement. I did not provide a bunch of "fluff" about the service that we
offer, only said that I could provide further information if requested.
I do agree that you should ask any VAN that you currently use, or are thinking
about using, about disaster recovery. It is an important service.
