There IS a Yahoo list for Gentran,
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/edi_gentran/. Probably more than one,
actually. Sterling Commerce has created forums on their support website.

As far as "EDI-L listserve is losing its focus and is in danger of falling
into
irrelevancy", I have been a member of this listserv for a long time, and I
would characterize the present period as one of remarkable focus and
consistency!
