<ADMIN> Moderation Poll: interim results

Subject: <ADMIN> Moderation Poll: interim results
I'll keep this poll open for another week or so, but the interim
results are that by an over 2:1 margin, the readership favors
moderation of bookmarks and links.

The history was that I went to add the excellent URL posted by Mr.
Kammerer dealing with maritime locations, and what do I see to my
dismay but "Online dating service" and "get out of debt fast" links.
Obviously a hole we hadn't considered; new users were logging in,
trying to spam (and getting hit in our moderation trap) and then
successfully putting off-topic links into the bookmark lists.

Now it's changed so that if a moderator sees an interesting bookmark
dealing with EDI, they can add it. If you have a link that you want
added to the bookmark list, or a file to the file list, please send it
to and it'll get added.

Assuming that this sentiment prevails over the next week, I'll close
the poll and make this a permanent 'feature.'

Thanks for reading -- and posting. We're trying to keep the place
clean for you and all the thanks we want is what we're getting -- the
great commentary and activity you bring to this board, and the
wonderful help you are to the rest of us in this crazy industry.
