Yes, The SLA is critical to the expected Level of Service.

In my last job I created a lights out EDI solution to communicate to a third
party warehouse. The transactions came and went in a near real time
environment. There were no hardware or software issues that came up after
the implementation.

The issues that did come up were the result of an interpretation of the SLA.
I am sure as the business grew with the solution then so did the
expectations.
