Everyone is invited to join the ECFSIG of AITP for the January
luncheon meeting. THis meeting will be informative and productive. If
you have never seen AS/2 or only heard rumors about it, or are scared

AS2: A New Standard for Secure Data Exchanges
Learn why Wal-Mart and so many other retailers are adopting AS2, a new
standard for secure communications over the Internet. The technology
behind AS2 (Applicability Statement 2) will be unraveled including the
methods it uses to enhance security over other Internet protocols such
at HTTP/S. The ROI for AS2 products will also be outlined along with
recommendations to consider when selecting a solution provider. The
use of AS2 is expected to grow as the communications protocol of
choice for UCCnet data synchronization and RFID. Come learn more about
this important communications technology!
Speaker: Jeffrey Lightcap, Product Marketing Manager, Cleo Communications
Jeffrey Lightcap, product marketing manager for Cleo Communications,
is responsible for developing and implementing strategic and tactical
marketing programs for Cleo Versalex technology. This involves
extensive market and technology research as well as coordination of
Cleo and partner product development and marketing efforts.
Lightcap has over twenty years of market development experience. His
focus for the last four years has been making sure Cleo's development
of Internet-based EDI communications software meets and exceeds market
demand for secure, reliable, easy-to-use solutions and communicating
the value of these solutions to target markets. Along with a B.A
degree from University of Wisconsin/Madison, Lightcap holds a number
of Information Technology certifications including Microsoft's MCSE
certification

through transferring data from and to the host.
