<MISC> Resumes-Ones That Work

Dan:
I'm certainly not an expert, but as someone who keeps his resume up to date
or within a years worth of information.....
The old way of thinking is that a Resume should only consist of one page. I
have read countless articles indicating the 'new' way is to list every job
and/or responsibility. You never know what an employer is looking for - I
for one achieved a job because I decided to try sales for a couple of months
- long story short; I was leaving the Automotive Industry and wanted to
learn. At the time I was single (some time ago!) with no responsibilities
so I could experiment.
I 'landed' one of my more recent jobs because of my I/T experience and the
above. It was my only intense external customer experience I had!
Sincerely,
MATTHEW P. KILEY
Work: (512) 723 - 5261

Matt,
Thanks for the article, but I really need help on the total resume
thing. The one I have is 3 growing to 4 pages. I'm still laboring under
the impression that a good resume is one killer page, and not in 2 point
type.

This may not be what you are looking for but Computer User put out a great
article in regards to job searching -
