Greetings.
Some friends and I are looking at writing a low cost alternative to a commercial
tanslation product. I have worked with Innovis, Sterling Commerce, and SPEDI. In
the last round of consuting I did for product selection, all of the products
seemed to license at about 60K.
Would anyone have ideas for requirements and usability standards for a low cost
alternative product? We are looking for input on PLATFORMS(OS's Supported), FILE
PROCESSING(quanitative data on disk requirements), would Open Source be a
requirement? Is Open Source not acceptable in most businesses?
Are there any people on this list that know of any Open Source products that can
handle commercial volumes?
